ABOUT US
Our goal at Studio X Dance Academy is to provide excellent instruction in a fun, healthy, drama free environment. Our entire staff will work hard to support hard work, and will model a team building atmosphere.

Studio X is the largest dance studio in Minot, featuring state-of-the-art facilities designed for optimal training and comfort. We have three spacious dance rooms, all equipped with professional Marley floors and sprung underlayment to ensure the safety and performance of our dancers. Our dedicated acro room is fully equipped with tumbling gear to support advanced training.

The studio has been recently remodeled with updated lighting and modern decor, creating a welcoming atmosphere. We also offer separate male and female dressing rooms, a comfortable lounge area for dancers and parents, and an on-site store for all your dance needs.
RECREATIONAL
This dancer is in it purely for fun, or to build skill, coordination, strength, and flexibility for another sport or another studio. They may take any number and combination of classes. <<Preschool Information here >>
LOCAL PERFORMANCE
This is someone who loves dance, but isn't ready to commit to competitive dance. They will be provided several opportunities to perform within the community and at local shows/recitals. This dancer must take a minimum of 3 classes per week(1 must be ballet), and may be required to buy a costume or multiple costumes. Extra rehearsals before a performance will be required. A pre performance audition may also be required.
COMPETITION
Audition Required
Team X: This is a performance level for those that want a taste of competition, or are just starting out in competitive dance. This level must commit to 3 core classes per week(ballet, jazz, lyrical(er Hip Hop or Tap if on Hip Hop or tap team**)), and team classes(usually 1-2 per week). Minimal travel required. Also performs with some local performances
Team X-FORCE: This level is ready to get a little more seriousand have some serious fun). A dancer on team X-FORCE must compete at a minimum of intermediate level for groups and solos. Must commit to 3 core classes(ballet, jazz, lyrical(**), 1 other class of their choosing, and team classes(usually 2-3 per week). Must attend 1 in studio intensives, 1 convention, and will travel some. Also performs with some local
X-ELITE/X-PRO: This is the highest level of competition. They want to compete and win at the highest level and are willing to put in the work to get there. Requirements for these dancers are 4 core classes per week (ballet, PBT. jazz, lyrical(**)), stretch and strength, 1 other class of their choosing, and team classes(usually 2-3 per week). They will also attend 1 or 2 intensives provided by the studio, and will travel to competitions and conventions. Also performs with local performances.

* Within each performance and competition level, dancers may be chosen for certain genres and not
others according to teacher/coach recommendations and or dancer preference
* Competitions and conventions will be determined on a yearly basis with feedback from team members and their families
